CES Trends…. predictable in 2011?
By Duncan Smith - Last updated: Monday, January 3, 2011
We’re off to CES tomorrow, and at some point on the 11 hour flight we’ll no doubt discuss what are going to be the hot CES trends this year – or should I say #CES trends. It’s the year of the twitter hashtag judging from the CES coverage, and if you have no idea what I mean, just sit back and enjoy the Archers podcast, and wait for an update on this blog. If you do know what I mean then check this out and follow us @consumer_team or me. We’ll be posting updates.
Back to the trends…. I’ve seen some predictions that are rather…well.. predictable. Actually useable Android tablets, faster silicon, more and better 3DTV, and also more mobile trends including, yet again, 4G, mobile TV and actually useable Android tablets.. did I mention that already? It must be a trend!
I’d like to think there will be more interesting stuff going on… perhaps some of the eco-innovation we saw at IFA… Have you got any suggestions of what you’d like to see as a CES trend? If so let us know and we’ll post the best, along with our ideas from the plane.
More from Las Vegas soon!

As a product designer myself, I\’d like to see a few tablets with more functionality than the iPad. Like a camera, USB interface, etc
